M/W - Should criminal activity be suspected to search a computer’s hard drive?

June 29th, 2009 by ComputerTraining.com Forum user Instructor

Hi:

This is a very interesting legal issue - should the government be allowed to look at the contents of a computer’s hard drive even if they have no reason to suspect criminal activity?

Importance of Backup Planning - T/Th class

June 23rd, 2009 by ComputerTraining.com Forum user Instructor

Although this article was written in 2003, it still details the importance of having a thorough backup plan in place before an emergency happens.  It’s also important to note that the company was up and running within a few days after the disaster:

Interesting Article for the M/W class about Google

June 22nd, 2009 by ComputerTraining.com Forum user Instructor

I thought this article was interesting.  I think it is fascinating that CNN (and all of the other news bureaus) are getting all of their reported information about the protesters in Iran from Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Interesting article about upgrading to Vista

June 9th, 2009 by ComputerTraining.com Forum user Instructor

Hi:

I found a really great article about the benefits (and pitfalls) of upgrading to Vista.  Even though the article is older, it still has some interesting information.

I would like your comments on this article.

Hi:

Microsoft went live with their new search engine (called “Bing”) over the weekend.  Will it compete against Google?  Here’s a link to an article:

Hi:

We are not going to cover this topic until tomorrow night (5/27) but please view the video after our subnetting class.  It’s a really great video and I think John does a great job explaining all the details.
